Description Antique, hand carved mother of pearl sunflower brooch or pendant set in a high grade silver setting. The silver carries a 935 mark to the back of the brooch. There is a ring bale at the back of the setting so it could also be worn as a pendant. The sunflower is certainly hand carved and the photo really doesn’t do it justice. The carving is set in the bezelled silver frame. The diameter measures 9cm and it has a very secure pin fitted to the back. It very likely dates from around 1910 – 1920.
