Description A very striking enamel Ginbari (foil technique) brooch of Japanese origin with a water lily subject. The detail is outstanding with shades of dark and light green, turquoise, gold, cream and pale pink flowing together within very fine wire work.  The metal frame and pin appear to be rhodium plated so it will not tarnish. The pin has a fold-over safety catch and the brooch measures 35mm x 26mm. The beauty of this brooch would make it a conversation piece. It’s almost like wearing a painting!
