Category:
Description Solid silver tea strainer with drip bowl, hallmarked in Birmingham 1921. The maker’s marks are E & Co for Elkington and Company Ltd. The strainer sits on a silver bowl with 3 shell-shaped feet and which is also hallmarked Birmingham 1921. It’s not uncommon for tea strainers to become seperated from their original drip bowls and this is a fine example of an original pair. The strainer measures 12.5cm from handle to handle and the bowl 6.5cm in diameter. It has a good weight at 88.9 grams. The overall condition is good with a small ‘ding’ to the underside of the bowl. A superb item to own especially for lovers of loose tea.
