Vintage Silver Set Butterfly Wing Ring

Description Rectangular shaped Butterfly wing ring set in Silver. Dating from around the 1930’s-1950’s, the inside of the shank is stamped MADE IN ENGLAND. The maker’s initials appear to be TIM with the Sterling stamp alongside. There is a smaller and larger scroll to the silver collar on either side of the butterfly wing setting which gives an Art Nouveau flavour to the ring. The maker appears to have been influenced by Rennie Mackintosh’s style.  The vibrant iridescent blue butterfly wings are set under glass. The ring is in very good condition and is a large size Q.
