Danish Silver Bracelet by Christian Michelsen

Description A rare Danish silver bracelet made by silversmith Christian Michelsen. This vintage bracelet would date from around the 1920’s or 30’s. Research on this silversmith has yielded very little which is surprising considering the intricacy of his work. The bracelet consists of 6 silver panels with wire twisted into a spiral cone shape. Silver scrolls are on either side of the spiral cones. This bracelet would fit a smaller wrist. It measures 17.2cm in length. The width of each panel is 1.8cm. The back of the clasp fitting is stamped C.MICH. 830 S. This means that the silver content of the bracelet is 83% and is the standard used in most Danish silver.
