SOLD Antique Millefiori Bead Necklace

Description Antique Millefiori bead necklace made in Venice around the 1920’s. The green, yellow, burgundy and black glass combination is absolutely stunning. Millefiori beads usually come in an array of combined bright colours so this is quite exceptional with the green being the dominant colour. This is a long string without a clasp and very easily slips over your head. The beads are graduated with the largest measuring approximately 40mm long x 30mm wide and the smallest 13mm x 9mm. The overall length is approximately 90cm with a total of 39 beads. There are smaller green glass beads between each millefiori and they’re on a double strand of coral coloured thread. Millefiori is a handblown fusion of several pieces of glass to put it in simple terms, so each bead is unique.
