English Silver Pocket Watch Chain with Spinning Fob 1891

Description Superb solid English silver hallmarked pocket watch chain. The end of the chain holds a fabulous spinner fob with banded agate on one side and moss agate on the other and the silver casing is hallmarked. Each link of the graduated chain is stamped with the lion passant as is the dog clip. The T-bar is also fully hallmarked for 1891. I have never seen such a beautiful piece of moss agate before. You can literally see the fine moss threads weaving through the stone. The banded agate is also striking with rich orange and pale grey streaks. The fob spins within it’s silver setting. The chain measures 38.5cm including the dog clip and in total, 41cm including the fob. It isn’t long enough to wear as a neck chain but can be extended with the addition of matching links by a jeweller. A classic and quality item to add to a silver pocket watch.
