Rare House Of Faberge Franklin Mint Imperial Jeweled Egg Chess Set

Rare and beautifully detailed Imperial Jeweled Egg Chess Set designed by the famous House of Fabergé for Franklin Mint in the opulent tradition of Peter Carl Fabergé, goldsmith and jeweller to the czars of imperial Russia. The luxurious collector egg is painted with red and black enamels and lavishly accented with 22 carat gold, sterling silver and set with a rich red ruby. The egg opens to reveal a miniature chess board embellished with sterling silver. The 32 chess pieces are accented in either 22 carat gold or sterling silver. They can be stored in a drawer provided in the base of the egg. Complete with all 32 miniature chess pieces. Measures 22.5 cm tall. In great vintage condition as photographed with only two tiny black stones missing. This is not very noticeable and they can easily be replaced.
